This case came before the Tribunal by way of an appeal by an employer against a recommendation by a Rights’ Commissioner reference r-129306-pw-12.
The Tribunal is satisfied that the appellant was properly notified of this hearing.
Neither the appellant nor a representative on its behalf appeared for the hearing.
Accordingly, the appeal under the Payment of Wages Act, 1991 is dismissed for want of prosecution. The Tribunal therefore upholds and reaffirms the recommendation of the Rights’ Commissioner and awards the respondent €9,949.25 as compensation under that Act.
