The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
Having heard and considered the brief evidence from the claimant and respondent the Tribunal finds that the claimant was given four days’ notice of his termination of employment. Since he had in excess of fifteen years’ service the claimant was due eight weeks’ notice. Accordingly. the Tribunal allows the claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment, 1973 to 2005 and awards the claimant €5571.07, that sum being the equivalent of the outstanding notice entitlement.
