The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
The Tribunal noted that there was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent (in liquidation). The claimant told the Tribunal that he was not paid his minimum notice plus holiday pay totalling €1,200.
Based on the uncontested evidence, the Tribunal awards the claimant his statutory entitlement of €1,000, being the sum due for two weeks’ notice under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005 and €1,200 holiday pay under the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997.
