Appellant’s case:
The appellant was employed by the respondent from 20th July 1982 until she was dismissed, without notice, by way of redundancy on 15th March 2013.
At the time of her redundancy the appellant was earning €1130.03 per week.
Determination:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent and the Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly served with notice of the hearing.
Having considered the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal awards the appellant €9,040.24, being 8 weeks wages, under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
