The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant claimed that his employment, which commenced on 1 January 2004, ended by reason of redundancy on 3 June 2013. His gross weekly pay was €600.00.
A hearing notice was sent to the respondent but no evidence was offered by or on behalf of the respondent at the hearing. The appellant’s representative showed documentation indicating that she was dealing with accountants attending to the affairs of the respondent. She said that the accountants were aware of redundancy appeals to the Tribunal but were not contesting them and would not be attending the hearing.
Determination:
Under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:

Gross weekly pay: €600.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
