The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
This case was heard in conjunction with appeals made by the employer of Rights Commissioner recommendations under the Unfair Dismissals Acts (ref: ud1/2015 & hearing number 61741), the Organisation of Working Time Act and the Terms of Employment (Information) Act. The Tribunal upheld the Rights Commissioner’s recommendations and of relevance in this case found that the claimant was unfairly dismissed. The claimant’s employment commenced in and around June 2012 and the dismissal occurred in April 2014.
Accordingly the Tribunal awards the claimant €200 (two hundred euro) in respect of one week’s pay under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
