This case came before the Tribunal by way of an employee appealing the decision of a Rights Commissioner under the Payment of Wages, 1991, ref: r-140110-pw-13/JT

The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-

The appellant was employed as an academic by the respondent company in May 2011.

A liquidator was appointed to the respondent company on the 4 March 2014. The appellants claim is for monies unpaid wages

Based on the uncontested evidence the Tribunal find that the appeal succeeds and varies the Rights Commissioner award to the sum of €7205.33 under the Payment of Wages Act 1991.
