Michael Walsh (company director) and Richard Cashman (company accountant)
Determination
The accountant for the respondent company submitted that a payment of €4,000.00 was made to the appellant in July 2014 in respect of minimum notice, redundancy and other claims for overtime and shift work.
The appellant accepted that he had received the amount of €4,000.00 but did not accept that this payment covered his statutory entitlements under the Redundancy Payments.
The appellant commenced employment with the respondent company on 23 February 2009 and his employment ended on 31 December 2013.
The Tribunal taking in to account the payment already made to the appellant by the respondent awards the appellant the sum of €1,632.00, being the amount outstanding under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 and the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
