Appellant(s): Mr Jason Kelly
John B O'Connor & Co Solicitors, 37 Upper Mount Street, Dublin 2
Respondent(s): No appearance or representation
The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant’s representative appeared in the appellant’s absence. There was no appearance by or representation on behalf of the respondent which is in liquidation/receivership. The appellant’s representative submitted that the appellant was no longer residing in Ireland and he applied for a postponement. The appellant had received a redundancy payment but felt that it was short by €1,500.00. He was unsure whether it was a sum worth the appellant travelling to Ireland for. He withdrew the claim under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005 on behalf of the appellant.
The Tribunal ordered that the case be adjourned generally until 17th December 2015 and if no further correspondence was received on behalf of the claimant the case would be struck out. As no further correspondence has been received the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, is dismissed.
