The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
At the hearing on the first day the appellant was unsure of the correct employer / respondent details and the hearing was adjourned to allow him contact Revenue to establish the correct name. The appellant’s correspondence with the Revenue Commissioners confirms the above named respondent as his employer up to 2012. The appellant did not receive any payment from the respondent in respect of a lump sum redundancy payment.
Determination
Having considered the uncontested evidence of the appellant the Tribunal awards him a lump sum redundancy payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 based on the following criteria.
Commencement Date 15th November 2007
Date notice received 28th November 2012
Termination date 28th November 2012
Gross pay €193.60
This award is made subject to the claimant having been in insurable employment, during the relevant period, in accordance with the Social Welfare Acts.
