This case came before the Tribunal by way of an appeal by the employee (appellant) against the decision of the Rights Commissioner (r-136342-pw-13/EOS) under the Payment of Wages Act 1991.

Determination

This case was heard by the Tribunal in conjunction with an appeal from a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation under the Unfair Dismissals Acts 1977 to 2007. While the Tribunal heard detailed evidence in relation to the appeal under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, no evidence was adduced in relation to the appeal under the Payment of Wages Act. Accordingly this appeal is dismissed and the decision of the Rights Commissioner is affirmed.
