The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
Determination:
The Tribunal is satisfied based on the evidence of the appellants that they were dismissed by reason of redundancy.
The respondent in his evidence stated that his business had closed in 2014 and is insolvent. He further stated he would assist in any way with the Redundancy Section of the Department of Social Protection in the finalising of these redundancy payments to the two appellants.
Accordingly the Tribunal awards each of them a lump sum payment under the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 to 2007 based on the following information:
