Determination:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent. The respondent is in Liquidation/Receivership. The appellant told the Tribunal that he had a shoulder operation in February 2011 and that the respondent went into receivership/liquidation while he was on sick leave.
The Tribunal considered the uncontested evidence of the appellant and is satisfied that he is entitled to a redundancy lump sum in accordance with the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 to 2007. Therefore the Tribunal makes an award under the said Acts in accordance with the following criteria.
Date of Commencement: 14 June 2006
Date of Termination: 10 December 2013
Gross Weekly Pay: €675.00
Period of non-reckonable service 00 April 2011 to 1 August 2011
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period. It should be noted that payments from the social insurance fund are limited to a maximum of €600 per week.
