Appellant: Annie Coyne, Mayo Citizens Information Service, The Courtyard, James St, Westport, Co. Mayo
Respondent: No appearance or representation on behalf of
Determination
The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly put on notice of this hearing. The appellant worked for the respondent from March 2009 until his employment was terminated in November 2014. Following an accident at work on the 13th of October the appellant was on sick leave until the respondent informed him that there was no more work available for him.
Based on the uncontested evidence of the appellant, the Tribunal find that the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 to 2007 succeeds and awards the appellant a redundancy lump sum based on the following;
Date of Commencement: 23 March 2009
Date of Termination: 21 November 2014
Gross Weekly Pay: €500.00
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
