Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Patsy Doyle
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41(4) of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 and Section 6 of the Payment of Wages Act , 1991, following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Complainant’s Submission and Presentation:
The Complainant worked as a Drivers Helper for a Transport Company .He worked 20 hrs per week .On 12 October, 2015, he made a complaint to the WRC that he had not been paid 500 euro owed in wages to him on 18 September ,2015. |
Decision:
Section 41(4) of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
I held a hearing in accordance with the requirements under S.41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015. I am satisfied that both parties were notified of the date and location of the hearing . I gave an adequate waiting period . Neither party attended the hearing , nor did they contact the WRC with any reason for non attendance . On foot of this, I have to strike out the case for want of prosecution .
