Determination:

There was no appearance by or on behalf of the claimant. The claimant was notified of the hearing by registered post on 3^rd February 2016, sent to the address given by him on the application form submitted to the Tribunal. This letter was returned to the Tribunal marked as “Gone Away” by An Post on 4^th February 2016 and received in the Tribunal on 9^th February 2016. The notification of hearing was then sent by ordinary post to the same address. On the 11 February 2016 the Tribunal also phoned the number given by the claimant as his on the complaint form but this number appeared to be disconnected.

Therefore the Tribunal is satisfied that the claimant was properly notified of the hearing and this case is dismissed for want of prosecution.
