Procedure:

In accordance with Section 41(4) of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 and the abovementioned Act, following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).

Complainant’s Submission and Presentation:

The complainant worked for the respondent for a period of 223 hours from the 18^th of January 2016. He was contracted on the basis of an annual salary of €25,000 (details provided). His payment for the period in question was deficient by a sum of €669.

Decision:

Based on the uncontested evidence adduced at hearing I find that the herein complaint is well founded. I hereby require that the respondent pay the complainant €669 (say six hundred and sixty nine euro) net in compensation for breach of s. 5 of this Act.
