The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:-
The appellant claimed that his employment, which commenced on 1 June 2000, ended by reason of redundancy on 20 April 2015. His gross weekly pay was €532.25 .
The employer claimed that it had done all it could to give the appellant as much employment as possible but it had suffered a lack of client work whereupon redundancy forms had been sent on behalf of the appellant who was forced to seek employment elsewhere.
Determination:
Under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007, the Tribunal finds that the appellant is entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on the following details:
Date of commencement: 01 June 2000
Date of termination: 20 April 2015
Gross weekly pay: €532.25
This award is made subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
