Background:

It was the appellants’ case that they were unaware the respondent company was dissolved in April 2015. They did however notice that work levels were decreasing. The appellants continued to work until they were provided with letters stating their positions were terminating due to a lack of work.

Determination:

The appellants were dismissed by reason of redundancy.

The appellants are entitled to a redundancy payment based on:
