The determination of the Tribunal was as follows:-
This case came before the Tribunal where the appellant was seeking implementation of the Rights Commissioner Recommendations under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007 reference r-141520-ud-13 and under the Terms of Employment (Information) Acts, 1994 to 2012 reference r-140767-te-13.
Determination:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent company. The Tribunal was satisfied that it had been properly put on notice of the hearing.
The respondent lodged appeals with the Tribunal on 1st August 2014. These appeals were subsequently withdrawn on 22nd October 2015.
In the circumstances, the Tribunal makes a determination to the like effect as Rights Commissioner Recommendation reference r-141520-ud-13 that the respondent pays the appellant the sum of €48,000.00 under the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 to 2007.
The Tribunal also makes a determination to the like effect as Rights Commissioner Recommendation ref. r-140767-te-13. The Tribunal awards €1,500.00 to the appellant under the Terms of Employment (Information) Acts, 1994 to 2012.
