There was no appearance by or on behalf of the respondent and the Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly notified of the hearing.
Claimant’s case:
The claimant commenced employment with the respondent on 19th September 2011. On the 6th August 2015 the claimant was informed by the respondent that the company was to cease trading and she was being made redundant with immediate effect. The claimant did not receive any notice of termination of employment or payment in lieu of such notice.
At the time of her dismissal the claimant was earning €390.00 per week.
Determination:
Having considered the uncontested evidence of the claimant the Tribunal is satisfied that she did not receive her statutory minimum notice and awards her €780.00 under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005.
