The decision of the Tribunal was as follows:
Having heard brief evidence from the appellant and noting that the respondent accepted that this was a redundancy situation the Tribunal finds that the appellant’s employment with the respondent ceased by way of redundancy. Accordingly, the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 succeeds and the appellant is awarded a statutory lump sum under those Acts, and based on the following:
Date of Commencement: 28 September 1983
Date of Termination: 30 June 2015
Gross Weekly Wage: €793.00
This award is made subject to the appellant being in insurable employment during the relevant period. A statutory weekly ceiling of €600.00 applies to payments from the Social Insurance Fund.
