Determination:
The Tribunal is satisfied that the respondent was properly notified of the date, time and location of this hearing. Neither they nor a representative on their behalf were in attendance
The Tribunal is satisfied that the appellant’s employment with the respondent was terminated by reason of redundancy. Accordingly, the appeal under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 2007 is allowed and the appellant is awarded a statutory redundancy payment under those Acts, based on the following:
Date of Commencement: 5 August 2009
Date of Termination: 6 June 2015
Gross weekly Wage: €460.00
This award is subject to the appellant having been in insurable employment under the Social Welfare Acts during the relevant period.
Loss having been established, the Tribunal awards the appellant compensation, under the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 to 2005, in the sum of €1,380.00, this being the equivalent of three weeks gross pay in lieu of notice
