Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41(4) of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 and the above-mentioned Act, following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).

Complainant’s Submission and Presentation:
The complainant submits that she worked as a centre manager disability services for the respondent in the period May 199 until June 2016. She was paid €4311 gross per month and worked 39 hours per week. She was dismissed by reason of redundancy and received her notice in late April 2016. She complains that she did not receive her entitlement to statutory annual leave on cessation (30 days) in breach of s. 23 of the Act.
Decision:
Based on the uncontested evidence adduced at hearing I find that the complaint is well founded and hereby require that the respondent pay the claimant €7,465 (say seven thousand four hundred and sixty five euro) inclusive of compensation of €1,000 for breach of s. 23 of the Act.
