Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 and the abovementioned Act, following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).
Background:
The respondent employed the complainant as a software engineer in the period 18th of March 2016 and 28th of January 2017. He was paid €6045 net per month and worked 40 hours per week. The complaints referenced above are duplicated and therefore I will deal with the complaint referenced as CA000010230-001 only and disregard the second. The complaint was received by the WRC on the 14th of March 2013. The parties were notified of the time, date and venue set for the hearing. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The complainant submits that he was not paid his wages for November and December 2016. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
Based on the uncontested evidence adduced at hearing I find that the complaint is well founded and hereby require that the respondent pay the claimant €6,045 (say six thousand and forty five euro) net in compensation. |
