In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).

The Complainant worked for the Respondent as a maintenance worker from 27 October 2015 until 24 October 2016 |

A week prior to his termination the Complainant was informed that his employment would end the following week. |

The Complainant is entitled to one week minimum notice but received this. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
The Complainant received one week’s minimum notice and as he was entitled to receive one week only, based on 11 full months of employment, this claim does not succeed. |
