Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Gaye Cunningham
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 - 2015, and Section 7 of the Terms of Employment (Information) Act 1994, following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaints and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaints.
Background:
The complainant submitted these complaints to the Workplace Relations Commission on 22nd February 2017. A hearing was convened for 5th October 2017 and she did not attend. There was some correspondence between the complainant and the WRC in which the complainant offered reasons for her non attendance. |
Findings and Conclusions:
I have reviewed the correspondence and the complainant’s history of non- attendance at previous Adjudication hearings. I am not satisfied that the circumstances amount to an acceptable reason to reconvene the hearing, and I decide that the complaints fail for lack of prosecution. |
Decision:
The complaints fail for lack of prosecution.
