In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 [and/or Section 6 of the Payment of Wages Act 1991] following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).

Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Claimant commenced employment on 11 May 20126 and left of his own accord on23 May 2016. He did not give notice to the Respondent because of this it is claimed they refused to paid him. He worked a 46 hour week at €11.00 per hour. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent corresponded with the WRC in regard to the claim, they did not attend the Hearing |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As the Respondent did not attend the Hearing I accept the uncontested evidence presented by the Claimant. I find the claim well founded and award €404.80 |
