Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Marguerite Buckley
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
Complaint in relation to Housing Assistance Payment between former tenants and their landlord |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
No attendance for the Complainant |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent did attend with his auctioneer. |
Findings and Conclusions:
No attendance by the Complainant. |
Decision:
Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.
There was no attendance for Complainant and there was on file evidence that his solicitor had been unable to obtain instructions from him despite having written to him by registered post and attempting to contact him by phone on several occasions.
Based on the information on file and the non-attendance from the Complainant, I am dismissing the complaint for want of prosecution.
