Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under section 77 of the Employment Equality Act, 1998 | CA-00016497-001 | 19/12/2017 |
Date of Adjudication Hearing: 20/03/2018
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Catherine Byrne
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 - 2015, this complaint was assigned to me by the Director General. A hearing was arranged for March 20th 2018; however, the complainant did not attend at the WRC at the scheduled time. I established that the complainant was correctly on notice of the hearing.
Ms Rosemary Mallon attended to represent the respondent, as did Ms Melanie Crowley, the instructing solicitor, and five witnesses.
Decision:
Section 79 of the Employment Equality Acts, 1998 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 82 of the Act.
As she did not attend the hearing scheduled for March 20th 2018, the complainant has failed to establish the validity of her complaint. I therefore conclude the investigation and find against the complainant. |
