Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Catherine Byrne
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015, these complaints were assigned to me by the Director General. A hearing was arranged for May 2nd 2018, for the parties to have an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaints.
The complainant did not attend the WRC at the scheduled time of 9.30am. For the respondent, the Chief Executive and the complainant’s line manager attended. At the opening of the hearing, the manager said that he had been informed by the complainant on May 1st, the day before this hearing, that she would not be proceeding with her complaints.
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaints in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
The complainant did not attend the hearing scheduled for May 2nd 2018. As she has failed to attend to establish the validity of her complaints, I conclude the investigation and find against the complainant. |
