Procedure:
Section 39 of the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).
Background
The claimant was employed by the respondent from March 2006 until the 4th April 2017. He was paid €587 gross per week. It was submitted on behalf of the claimant that he was made redundant by the respondent and despite repeated requests the respondent failed to pay him his redundancy. It was submitted that he worked for 11 years for the respondent and he has an entitlement to 23 weeks’ redundancy totalling €13501
Findings
The respondent did not attend.
Decision
[Section 39 of the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 – 2012 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under that Act.
Based on the uncontested evidence I find the claimant is entitled to redundancy payment for his reckonable service from March 2006 to the 4th April 2017. accordance with section of the act of €13501

The Claimant was employed by the respondent from March 2006 to March 2017. The claimant is seeking payment for minimum notice
Findings
The respondent did not attend.
Decision
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
Based on the uncontested evidence I find the claimant based on his service is entitled to 6 week’s notice €587 x 6 = €3522 gross
