Procedure:

In accordance Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

Findings

The complaint form was dated the 23rd October 2015.

The hearing was scheduled to be heard on the 28th March 2018 at 10 am in the Radisson Hotel Little Island Cork. The claimant had requested an adjournment and he was notified that his request was refused. The Service had 2 sign language interpreters present for the hearing. I waited until 11 am, the claimant had not arrived for the hearing nor did he make contact with the service.

Decision:

Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.

The complaint falls for want of prosecution
