In accordance with Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 –2015 following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).

Background:

The dispute concerns the alleged Unfair Dismissal of a Butcher from a Supermarket.

1: Summary of Complainant’s Case:

Did not attend the Hearing and no evidence presented.

2: Summary of Respondent’s Case:

As there was no Complainant case made the Respondent did not go into evidence. I accepted their statement of complete rebuttal of the case.

3: Findings and Conclusions:

As the Complainant did not attend the hearing (I was satisfied that proper notice had been served) I accepted the Respondents’ uncontested rebuttal.

The claim for Unfair Dismissal is dismissed.

4: Decision:

Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the unfair dismissal claim consisting of a grant of redress in accordance with section 7 of the 1977 Act.
