Procedure:
In accordance with Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant has alleged that he was denied rental accommodation because of (Housing Assistance payment) HAP application. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend and so no complaint was prosecuted on the day. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent did not attend and was not represented. |
Findings and Conclusions:
I note correspondence on file advising both parties of the date, time and venue of the hearing. I note that neither party attended the hearing. I find that the Complainant did not attend and did not prosecute a complaint. |
Decision:
Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.
I have decided that as the Complainant did not prosecute his complaint, therefore the claim fails for want of prosecution.
