Background

The claimant was employment from the 14th March 2005 to the 22nd June 2017 as reservation manager by the respondent. She was paid €654 gross (€542 net) and she worked 32 hours per week. It was submitted on her behalf that that she was made redundant when she was replaced by a member of the respondent’s family. The claimant is seeking her redundancy for the period of her employment with the respondent. The respondent did not dispute the claim and but asked for time to address it.

Findings

The complaint was received on the 29th May 2018 I find based on the evidence as presented that the claimant is entitlement to redundancy payment for service from the 14th June 2005 until the 22nd June 2017. The claimant was paid her full notice entitlements.

Decision:

Section 39 of the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 – 2012 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under that Act.

I find based on the evidence the claimant is entitled to her redundancy payment for her appropriate service from the 14th March 2005 until the 22nd June 2017
