Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Eugene Hanly
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant was employed as a Veterinarian from 28th August 2018 to 22nd September 2018. He was paid €300 per day. He has claimed that he is owed wages. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
As no complaint was prosecuted the Respondent was not required to give a response. |
Findings and Conclusions:
The Complainant advised the WRC that he had relocated to Canada and sought to be represented by his Parents. He was advised that he would be required in person to give direct evidence. He did not seek an adjournment. No complaint was prosecuted. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
