Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant is seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under Section 6 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1991, wherein it is alleged that the Respondent Company had not paid the Complainant the amount due (CA-00026432-001) |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant commenced employment as a HGV driver with the Respondent Company on the 7th November 2018 and left his employment on the 7th December 2018. The Complainants pay was €600.00 (net) per week. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Director of the Respondent Company was in attendance. |
Findings and Conclusions:
The Complainant decided to withdraw from the hearing of this matter following some initial discussions with the Respondent Company. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
I find that the Complaint (CA-00026432-001) is not well founded and therefore fails |
