Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

The complainant was employed by the respondent for 2 weeks but did not receive any pay. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The complainant was employed by the respondent for 2 weeks but did not receive any pay. He claims that he is owed €710 net in respect of this outstanding pay. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
Despite having been informed in writing on 17th September of the time and date of the hearing, the respondent did not attend to give evidence. |
Findings and Conclusions:
In the absence of any evidence from the respondent, I find in favour of the complainant and consider that his complaint is well founded. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s)/dispute(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
Given that his complaint is well founded, I require that the respondent pay the sum of €710 net to the complainant. |
