Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s).
Background:
The Complainant worked as a healthcare assistant in the Respondent’s nursing home, she commenced employment on 20/11/2017 and left on 04/01/2019. The Complainant worked 42 hours per week and was paid at the rate of €11.00 per hour. This complaint was received by the Workplace Relations Commission on 19/01/2019. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend the hearing as scheduled and also failed to contact the WRC in relation to her non-attendance. Correspondence in relation to the hearing was sent on 17th May 2019. |

Findings and Conclusions:
As the Complainant did not attend the hearing I have no option but to decide that the complaint is not well founded and therefore fails. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint(s) in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As outlined above, the complaint is not well founded and therefore fails. |
