Date of Adjudication Hearing:
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer:
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant submits that she worked for the Respondent from 30th July 2018 to 21st August 2018. She claims that she was not paid for the days she worked during this period. At the time the adjudication hearing was scheduled to commence, it became apparent that there was no appearance by either party. I am satisfied that the parties were notified of the venue, date and time of the hearing. I waited some time to accommodate a late arrival. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the Complainant. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
There was no appearance by or on behalf of the Respondent. |
Findings and Conclusions:
As the parties did not attend the adjudication hearing I do not make any findings or conclusions. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
As the Complainant did not attend the adjudication hearing to advance her complaint, the complaint fails for want of prosecution and I declare the complaint to be not well-founded. |
