Procedure:
In accordance with Section 39 of the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 - 2014following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.

Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant was employed from 26th May 2006 to 16th November 2018. Her employment was terminated when the shop closed and she received no statutory redundancy payment. |

The Respondent did not attend the hearing. |
Decision:
Section 39 of the Redundancy Payments Acts 1967 – 2012 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under that Act.
Based on the uncontested evidence of the Complainant I have decided that she is entitled to a statutory redundancy payment based on the fact she was in insurable employment for the requisite period :

Number of years service: 12.49
Weeks due: 25.98
