Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under Section 21 Equal Status Act, 2000 | CA-00032184-001 | 13/11/2019 |
Date of Adjudication Hearing: 17/02/2020
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Eugene Hanly
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000,following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The Complainant was a Tennant with the Respondent. He has claimed that the Respondent refused to accept the HAP scheme and so he was discriminated against. He was seeking compensation. As the Complainant did not attend the hearing, I have decided to anonymise the decision. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend and was not represented. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
No complaint was presented so the Respondent was not required to make a response. |
Findings and Conclusions:
I note correspondence on file advising both parties of the venue, date and time of the hearing. I find that the Complainant did not attend and was not represented. I find that no complaint was prosecuted. |
Decision:
Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.
I have decided as no complaint was prosecuted this claim fails for want of prosecution.
I have decided that this complaint is not well founded and so it fails.
