Procedure:
In accordance with Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 as amended,following the referral of the complaint(s)/dispute(s) to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint(s)/dispute(s) and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint(s)/dispute(s).
Background:
A complaint was submitted by the complainant that she was discriminated against by her landlord arsing from his alleged failure to complete the requisite forms to allow her continue as a tenant on the HAP scheme. The necessary ES1 forms were completed and issued on her behalf by Threshold. The events which led to the complaint occurred in 2019. A hearing of the complaint was convened in September 2020 following the lifting of the Covid -19 public health restrictions. Neither the complainant nor the respondent attended for the hearing. There is no correspondence on record following the issuing of the notice of the hearing. |

Findings and Conclusions:
As neither party attended the hearing , I have decided to use my discretion and to anonymise the parties to the complaint. As no evidence was presented to support the complaint, I must conclude that it is not well-founded. |
Decision:
Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.
The complaint submitted by the Complainant against the Respondent is not well founded. |
