Procedure:
In accordance Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 - 2015following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background:
The complainant commenced employment with the respondent on 3rd September 2016. He alleged that he was dismissed without any prior warning on 26th September 2019. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
Despite being notified in writing on 5th February 2020 of the time and date of the hearing, the complainant did not attend to give evidence. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The respondent attended the hearing. |
Findings and Conclusions:
Given the failure by the complainant to attend the hearing and give evidence, I find that this complaint is not well founded. |
Decision:
Section 8 of the Unfair Dismissals Acts, 1977 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the unfair dismissal claim consisting of a grant of redress in accordance with section 7 of the 1977 Act.
