Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint.
Background
The claimant was employed by the respondent from 5th June 2018 until the 8th August 2019. She worked 40 hours per week and she was paid €3083.34 gross (€2573 net) per month. The claimant stated that the respondent did not pay her or paid her less than the amount due to her
The claimant submitted that she received €1700 net in May leaving her with a balance of €873 net short in wages for the month and she received no payment of wages for June, July and 6 days (€771.9 net) in August 2019
The claimant submitted that she should was owed €6790.9 net for the months of May, June, July and 6 days in August.
Findings
The respondent did not show, and I am satisfied the respondent was notified at the address provided
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
Based on the uncontested evidence I find the complaint to be well founded and I award her €6790.9 net.
