Procedure:
In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 (as amended)following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute.
Background:
The dispute relates to a salary incremental scale and the correct point at which the worker should be. |

In conducting my investigation, I have taken into account all relevant submissions presented to me by the parties and the terms acceptable to both parties. |
Recommendation:
Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
The parties have agreed the correct point that the worker should be placed on the scale and that it is to be effective from the 1st February 2020. It is agreed between the parties this agreement is solely in connection to this dispute and will not be referred to in any future forum as a precedent for another worker or for a group of workers. The agreement is in full and final settlement of the dispute. The Union will write to the College before or on the 14th of February 2022 detailing their acceptance of the terms and that the agreement will not be used as precedent concerning another worker or group of workers at the College. The terms of the agreement are confidential to the parties. The implementation of the agreement will occur within 1 month of receipt of the letter from the Union as set out herein.
