Complaint seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission under section 6 of the Payment of Wages Act, 1991 | CA-00045550-001 | 05/08/2021 |
Date of Adjudication Hearing: 05/07/2022
Workplace Relations Commission Adjudication Officer: Thomas O'Driscoll
Procedure:
In accordance with Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act, 2015 following the referral of the complaint to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaint and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaint. Neither party turned up at the hearing.
Background:
The Complainant submitted a complaint to the Workplace Relations Commission under the Payment of Wages Act 1991 that she was not paid for nine hours work by the Respondent. |
Summary of Complainant’s Case:
The Complainant did not attend. |
Summary of Respondent’s Case:
The Respondent did not attend. |
Findings and Conclusions:
The Complainant did not attend to give evidence on her complaint. I am reasonably satisfied that she was informed of the time, date and venue of the hearing. I find therefore that the complaint was not well founded due to a lack of evidence. |
Decision:
Section 41 of the Workplace Relations Act 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under Schedule 6 of that Act.
CA-00045550-001: I find that the complaint was not well founded due to a lack of evidence. |
