Procedure:

In accordance with Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969following the referral of the dispute to me by the Director General, I inquired into the dispute and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any information relevant to the dispute. None of the parties turned up at the hearing. I waited for one hour before deeming the hearing closed.

Background:

The Worker submitted a number of complaints to be considered under section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 which were received by the Workplace Relations Commission on 6 July 2020.

Conclusions:

None of the parties turned up at the hearing of this dispute. I am reasonably satisfied that both parties were properly notified of the date and time of hearing. I find that the Workers claims were not well founded owing to a lack of affirmation of the case on the designated day of investigation.

Recommendation:

Section 13 of the Industrial Relations Act 1969 requires that I make a recommendation in relation to the dispute.
