SUBJECT: 1. Unfair Dismissal.
BACKGROUND: 2. On 1 February 2022, the Worker, referred this dispute to the Labour Court in accordance with Section 20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act, 1969 and agreed to be bound by the Court’s Recommendation. A Labour Court hearing took place on 6 May 2022.
RECOMMENDATION:
This matter was referred to the Court under s.20(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1969.
Unfortunately, the Employer chose not to attend. Accordingly, the claim by the Worker that he was dismissed unfairly was not contested. Based on the information provided to the Court by the Worker, his losses as a result of his dismissal are calculated at €6132.
